Forest City Insider is an independent local guide for London, Ontario and the towns around it: St. Thomas, Strathroy, Komoka, Ilderton, Dorchester, Lucan, Belmont and Mount Brydges.
It started as a free email newsletter that nearly 8,000 people in London and area now read. It is published by Hometown Legend, and it is not owned by a chain or a media company.
What you will find here
A directory of local businesses across London and area, free to be listed in. A jobs board that collects openings from the area's large employers, including the city, the county, the hospitals, Western and Fanshawe. An events calendar built from official calendars like the London Public Library and Downtown London. And local stories from the newsletter.
How the directory works
Any local business can be listed at no cost. Every listing shows real photos and real written reviews, and we leave out the big national chains so local owners get the attention. Owners can claim their listing to keep it accurate, and Pro is an optional paid upgrade for a richer profile. Paying never changes what we write.
Our stories
We name our sources and we correct our mistakes where you can see them. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.
How to help
