We hired them to completely redo our backyard after dealing with ongoing drainage issues, sinking stairs, and a space that just wasn’t functional or enjoyable. I gave them a budget, and a few key things I wanted included (deck, patio, pergola, fire pit, and hot tub area), and then trusted them to design something special.
What they created exceeded every expectation I had.
I work from home full time, so having a backyard that felt like an escape from work was incredibly important to me. Kyle immediately understood that. Instead of just building a backyard, he designed a space that actually feels like a retreat. Every part of the project felt thoughtful and intentional.
One of the things that stood out most was how collaborative and communicative the team was throughout the entire process. Even when I was travelling for work and out of the country, I never felt disconnected from what was happening. They kept me informed, walked me through decisions, and whenever unexpected challenges came up, they always presented solutions clearly and honestly, and in many cases, actually ended up being some of my favourite alterations.
What I appreciated most was that they thought beyond the immediate project. They weren’t just designing for how the yard would look on completion day, they were thinking about how it would mature and evolve over the coming years. Now that another season has passed and everything has started growing in, I can honestly say it somehow looks even better than it did when they finished.
The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall vision were incredible. We’ve had neighbours come by multiple times asking about the project because they watched the transformation happen and couldn’t believe the final result.
Also...small piece of advice...trust Kyle’s vision, especially when it comes to the natural stone and rock work. Some of my favourite parts of the entire backyard were ideas he pushed for that I never would have thought of myself.
