Everytime I come here, I'm always blown away by how nice the staff is despite listening to shrill screams of joy and or sadness all day long. I know personally I would have gone inside on the third day but somehow they all work super hard,keep the place clean and genuinely seem to enjoy having the space full of little maniacs. I would definitely recommend a birthday party here to diffuse the chaos from your house, and fit all the kids you want to bring.
I was really impressed with the play/jungle gym area. Lots of fun climbing, tunnels, bounce area. It was clean and equipment in good condition. The other area small children (play, quiet area) was not good at all. Although they had lots of toys it was messy and unclean. We were the very first customers at 9 am and it was a disaster, toys everywhere and it needed cleaned and vacuum.
We recently hosted our daughter's birthday party here. We opted for the party package where you privately rent the space for 2 hours. The kids had a fantastic time, but unfortunately the experience didn't match the price point. The biggest positive was the play area. The large bouncing floor and climbing structures kept the kids entertained for hours, and they had an absolute blast. The staff we interacted with were friendly and polite. They have loads of parking! It was also pretty easy to book online. That said, for over $600, I expected much better value and attention to detail. The food was by far the biggest disappointment. The pizza tasted like inexpensive frozen pizza, which was surprising given the cost of the party package. We had also pre-ordered popcorn, but without asking us it was replaced with chips. This was especially disappointing because the birthday girl doesn't even like pizza and had been looking forward to the popcorn. The fruit also wasn't very appetizing. The watermelon looked like it had been cut days earlier, and flies repeatedly landed on it. The juice provided was the overly sweet no-name variety, and the menu options overall were very limited and underwhelming. We also discovered a smaller toy room halfway through the party because no one mentioned it to us. Unfortunately, it was quite dirty and messy. During our walkthrough before leaving, we noticed old food and wrappers underneath the play equipment, which made it clear the area hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Another issue was the temperature inside. It was uncomfortably hot throughout the party. Many of our guests commented on it, and I was sweating the entire time, which made it difficult to enjoy hosting. One final frustration was the announcements over the karaoke machine. Every announcement was so muffled that no one could understand what was being said. The kids genuinely had a wonderful time, and that's ultimately what matters most. However, given the cost of the party package, I expected significantly better food quality, cleanliness, communication, and overall attention to detail. With some improvements, this could be a great birthday venue, but based on our experience, I don't feel the price reflected what was provided.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been bringing my nieces and nephews to Playaway for 7+ years, and it has always been a place they absolutely love. It’s a great place for kids to burn off some energy, which is why it’s disappointing to see how much the facility seems to have gone downhill. I was there Thursday morning, September 3rd, and honestly, I was shocked by the condition of the place, especially because it was first thing in the morning. The carpets looked like they had not been vacuumed, the quiet area was a complete mess with toys scattered everywhere, and the bathroom had paper towels all over the floor. The leather couches are also showing a lot of wear and tear. I understand it was a camp day and that things get busy, but only having two employees working did not seem like enough to properly supervise the children while also taking care of the front entrance and food service. The camp counsellors seemed to be primarily focused on those areas while the kids were running around with very little supervision. What concerned me the most was the condition of the carpets. After my mom complained about how dirty they were, someone eventually came out with a broom and dustpan to clean them. I appreciate that they addressed it, but a children’s play area should have properly cleaned floors to begin with. Young children are crawling and playing on these carpets and can easily pick things up and put them in their mouths. This isn’t just about appearance — it’s a cleanliness and safety concern. I also think the toys could really use some updating, and adding some healthier food options to the menu would be a nice improvement. I’m not leaving this review because I dislike Playaway. Quite the opposite. We have been coming here for years, and my nieces and nephews still love it. That’s exactly why it’s frustrating to see the place looking so run down. I really hope the owners take these concerns seriously because Playaway has the potential to be a fantastic place for families. But based on my most recent visit, there are some significant improvements needed in cleanliness, maintenance and supervision.
Awful place. It’s so dirty and everything is old. It’s pretty boring for the price too. Staff are odd. My autistic son was bored and not having it. I bought a drink and gave him a couple straws to play with and staff starting starring and whispering. They came over and grabbed the straws lol. Never again. Go to off the wall or funvilla.
