This is a truly special sushi restaurant. My fiancé and I discovered this hidden gem when we were staying at the hospital for a broken leg. The food is so fresh and delicious. The service is fast and impeccable. Even when we recently had an undercooked piece of karrage chicken, the owner presented us with a whole new fresh dish to go. They are so kind, generous and professional. The food is beyond incredible. This is our favourite sushi restaurant ever.
Delicious sushi and great service. The place is very cozy and the staff is friendly. It’s definitely a little bit on the more expensive side, but the food was delicious. Would definitely come back to dine in again.

I don’t usually leave reviews but alas, I am compelled to add my experience to the collective here. I am a professor of literature and am visiting from Calgary. I just walked in alone and was met by a greeter who seemed reluctant to seat me. Rather than offering me a seat at the table, she sat me at the bar. Occurred to me as odd as I had come for lunch, so I politely asked to be seated at the booth tables instead. She said they are typically reserved for more than two people (myself and two women were the only diners in the entire restaurant) but I conceded and asked for a dining table. I motioned to sit down at a table that wasn’t too close to the door’s chill and she moved me surreptitiously once again to a third table and abruptly left the menu on it. I was not offered tea, water or welcomed with friendliness. I looked over and in my periphery, I saw to my astonishment, the very same woman who had been less than cordial sitting by herself comfortably at a booth ostensibly on her break where she could have easily seated me. Needless to say, I decided to leave and dine at Shelley’s Grill down the street and was treated with far more hospitality. I am a dark Black woman and am hoping that had nothing to do with it. People have bad days, and perhaps that’s all it was, but just as a reminder: all costumers are to be accommodated and made to feel welcome in establishments in Canada.
