Cool old building with great history. My grandparents used to live in Ilderton & grandpa used to take me to this pub ( used to be the General Store) for a malted milk chocolate bar. That was a real treat for me. I remember there used to be a frozen food storage place across the street. My grandmother used to bring their corn & other vegetables there to be frozen,, then p go there to pick up a container to cook for dinner.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Unfortunately I don't live in Ontario anymore, but when I make the 600 mile voyage home I always stop in. Their menu always has amazing choices, but I always go for their incredible wings. I recommend the voodoo or fire/ice. The owners, pub atmosphere, and service are awesome. Stop in to the King Edward's, you won't be disappointed... unless you're crazy
A great traditional pub experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our liver and sonions and fish and chips. My guest was my British-born mother-in-law who beamed when she was told they'd make her a shandy. The service and owners were friendly, and set me on some very fine no-alcohol beers. And if the dessert offering is the apple maple cranberry pie, make sure you save some room for it.
The Cottage Pie & Garden Salad topped with Raspberry Dressing were very delicious & paired well with the Beer from Cowbell Brewery. The coffee was superb with the main course and paired well with the Apple Cobbler & Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert! Thank you both Rich & Deb for an amazing lunch!
Food was Amazing ! Warm friendly pub with delicious foods locally sourced and cooked and served by the friendly owners!😁 Me and my wife decided to go here and try this place out and as soon as we walked in we were warmly welcome by the owners like we were locals. Will be back.
It has been awhile since we have been here and I forgot how much we enjoyed it. The food and beverages are very fairly priced and excellent value.
