Westside Family Restaurant

As someone who hails from Markham, Ontario. We don't have any sort of diner like this in my area. For myself, I would proudly say this place is "Canada". I came here twice, both on the long weekend and at an empty morning weekday. There were plenty of diners both times. The servers talk to guests, frequently making conversation and chatting with them. Diners will also frequently say hello/hi/how are you? Indicating that there is a strong bond between the staff and diners. There is a decorated wall with plenty of hockey athletes, a champion boxer from London, ON. It feels very homely and much different from what I've experienced at diners in Markham. Prices are fair and portions are substantial. Food is good overall! Will definitely be my go to spot over the few months Ill be staying in London. Delicious and you feel right at home here.

I don’t play about this place, we went 3 days in a row after trying it for the first time cause it’s so close to home and this place does everything amazing, whether it’s the food, the service, the atmosphere, it just feels like home away from home. The denver omelette is my favourite, we’ve tried that as well as the burgers and the chicken burger so far and they come out the kitchen hot! I’ve been to so many places and not many compare to Westside. They are quick with the orders and they are delicious every time! I also am a big milkshake lover and I cannot believe I’ve gone so long living in the area not knowing the best milkshakes were right in front of me all along! I read a few recent 1 star reviews from here, and as much as I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions, I truly believe a few of them were laughable in regards of the service and ketchup haha, there was even a person that said the inside is dated which is ridiculous cause the interior feels timeless, it brings me back to when I was a kid, there’s not many diners that are around like this one that’s feels good and tastes good! Overall, the ladies are lovely here, the food is excellent and prices are pretty good especially for the serving sizes they give you, my absolute new favourite place to go now, I will be back no doubt!

This has become my wife’s and my go-to spot for Sunday brunch, and we always have a great experience! The food is delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. The service is outstanding — everyone is always so friendly, kind, and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and very family-friendly, which makes it such a nice place for us to spend our Sunday mornings together. Great food, great service, and great value. We always look forward to coming back every Sunday. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast and hash browns (triangle) in the city. I won’t go anywhere else. The staff are all lovely people. You are well taken care of every time you go in.
