I had such a wonderful experience at Dorchester Optometry. Dr. Jones was incredibly patient, kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. She took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and truly listened to throughout my appointment. The entire staff was just as lovely, friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Such a warm and caring office. I’m so grateful for the wonderful care I received and would highly recommend Dorchester Optometry! 💛
Highly recommended. My daughter needed to see Dr. Long urgently, and Jan went above and beyond to make it happen. She kept us updated just as she promised, followed through every step of the way, and ultimately got my daughter in. Extremely disappointed with the lack of care and compassion at this clinic! Nobody in Dorchester should trust this office with their eye health.My elderly mother is an established patient here and woke up on a Friday with a severe eye infection—her eye was bright red, burning, and in significant pain. When I called to request an emergency appointment, the office completely refused to see her. The only reason given was that the optometrist works half-days on Fridays. Instead of helping their own patient in an urgent situation, they simply turned us away and told us to go to a family doctor or the hospital because the doctor had the afternoon off. I called another clinic to see if they’d see her, and their first question was asking if she was a client. An optometry clinic should prioritize their existing clients during a medical emergency, especially vulnerable seniors. Rejecting a patient in pain just to clear the schedule for the weekend is completely unacceptable. Our family will never return, and I strongly warn everyone in the community to avoid this place and find an eye doctor who actually cares about their patients! I hope that when this optometry team has an emergency, they are turned away from their provider too. Plus their fees are way too much anyways. I would have paid double, triple the fee but they have zero empathy!
