We recently sold a local property while living a long way away in a different country. Our Realtor introduced us to William (Bill) Mitches, who proved absolutely excellent at taking care of all of the legal work and recommended a local accountant to take care of that aspect of the sale. Bill was a prompt, clear communicator, and had our back when the purchaser proved somewhat demanding and difficult. His title work and research helped clear up an issue. He clearly had our back, and with his succinct advice we were able to smoothly and quickly close the sale. His assistant, Shaney, was also excellent. Highly recommended! I highly recommend Toenie Hersch as a family lawyer. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his assistant Samantha. I had financial aid and I called and got an intake appointment the next week. Toenie was very kind, empathetic, and understanding of my situation. I truly felt that he was on my side and listened to everything I had to say. It was smooth sailing and Samantha usually answered the phone when I called and was very helpful with any questions I had, and if she couldn’t answer she always got back to me asap. And I got the outcome I was hoping for.
We have used Bill Mitches and his legal team for two seperate real estate purchases - one in 2018 and again in 2026. On both occasions, Bill was professional and responsive, and was a great asset in helping us navigate a constantly evolving transaction. This firm has no business trading under the name of the late, brilliant, Claude Pensa. Emails are rarely answered for long term business and personal clients, and at every turn, yet another delay "as we did not see that initially" costing our family literally thousands of dollars. They are so worried about being sued, and lack the gravitas to stand up to big banks, as everyone is worried about being sued, to the extreme detriment of our family. Beyond disgusted with the utter lack of client service, for which they take exorbitant fees. As a service industry, they fail, and forget they are supposed to work for the client and not their business model.
Stay away from this lawyer and this company. My experience with Jason DiFruscia was extremely frustrating and honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. He is not reliable at all, and you can end up waiting days just to get a one-line reply—if he replies at all.
Because of his constant delays and lack of responsibility, our file was dragged out far longer than it should have been, and we ended up losing a lot of money and time. The service was very poor, full of mistakes, and felt like nobody cared about the client.
On top of that, the charges for even the smallest correspondence were outrageous. It truly felt like this firm works only for the money, not for the clients.
Save yourself the stress and hire a more reliable, professional, and client-focused firm. I would never recommend this place based on what we went through.
