Went for cardiac ablation procedure. The nurses were very friendly. The surgeon doing the surgery was very patient with me as they don't put you under general anesthesia for this procedure they just numb you and give you some pain killers. My only issue was the parking, for someone who has rarely visited this hospital as i live far away from it, it was unclear where you are supposed to park. Kept going to staff parking lots. There is a sign for public parking but it is so small it was easily missed.
Doctors are incredible.. especially the woman and the team who performed my c-section. The social worker in the ob floor, however was a two faced woman who smiles and tells you she’s someone you can be open with but doesn’t actually care to listen . Toys with the lives of well meaning mommas and their newborns passing judgment on her own assumptions, She doesn’t care why, and should NOT be TRUSTED.
Very disappointed with how I was treated post surgery. I have been experiencing heavy bleeding repeatedly and now 2 months post op and all of my phone calls and emails to the gynecologist who did the surgery has been ignored. The actual surgery went well, the nurses were amazing but I felt very neglected after that. At 4 weeks post op Dr. Moltner's assistant told me I was 6 weeks post op and ready for normal activities. Just a rough experience and doesn't help with healing. I now have to wait an additional 3 weeks to see my family doctor, no answers, just bleeding.
Today my wife is in emerg. She had a pan to vomit in but didn't use it and it fell on the floor so the nurse Kyle just kicked it out of his way and left the hazard on the floor,

Dismissed neurological symptoms, offered Tylenol
I visited the LHSC Emergency Department on multiple occasions over several months presenting with acute facial numbness and tingling. On every visit, I was not assessed by a neurologist, was not referred for neurological follow-up, and was offered over-the-counter Tylenol as the sole intervention.
Facial numbness is a neurological symptom. Dismissing it with painkillers without further investigation is not acceptable care. I have since had to obtain a neurology referral through my primary care provider, which should have been initiated during my emergency visits when the symptoms were acute.
I have filed a formal complaint with Patient Relations. I am sharing this publicly so others are aware that neurological symptoms at LHSC ER may not receive the assessment they warrant.
