Five stars honestly doesn’t feel like enough for Rick and Rickey Ratches.
I brought my ’65 Olds to Rick when I honestly thought I might not get her back on the road. I’ve owned this car for 30 years, and it means a lot to me and oh the stories she could tell.
Rick fixed the car and also redid some work from a previous mechanic. The difference was incredible. His work is clean, thorough and done with real knowledge, pride and integrity.
Rick brought the Cutlass back to life, and I couldn’t be happier to be back on the road again. It’s a pretty great feeling to have her running right again. Thanks, Rick — I’m so happy and blessed to have found you and your shop. #grateful
I brought my Highlander to Ricky Ratchets as it had developed a nasty rust spot on the door that I hadn’t gotten after. I had thought that I would go to a collision centre but I was turned away repeatedly. Ricky took on the job and quoted me a really reasonable price. When I went to pick up the car, I realized Ricky had found an alternative to a repair and repaint and had chased down a perfect matching door elsewhere in the province. It was more expensive than the quoted work but he drove to get it and got me a great looking fix and didn’t charge me any more than the original quote. From start to finish, Ricky was outstanding.The experience blew me away. It was good ol’ fashion fantastic customer service and professionalism of an owner/operator. I can’t recommend him and his team highly enough!

On our way to Canada’s Wonderland, my daughter’s big summer event with her friends nearly ended before it started when the exhaust on my 2008 Malibu came apart and started dragging on the road.
I stopped at Ricky Ratchets on Clarke Road, hoping for a miracle. Despite being a walk-in, they got my car in almost immediately. They were honest that the rust underneath meant a proper repair wasn’t possible on the spot, but instead of turning me away, they came up with a creative temporary solution to get us safely on our way.
It worked perfectly. We made it to Wonderland, had an amazing day, and even made it all the way home.
The repair was very reasonably priced, but the customer service was priceless. Thank you for taking the time to help a stranded family instead of letting us become another “sorry, we can’t.” You made a stressful day turn into a great memory.

On the way to Canada’s Wonderland with my daughter and three of her friends for their big summer adventure, my 2008 Chevy Malibu suddenly started sounding like a tractor and the exhaust dropped and started dragging on the road. We had already spent several hundreds of dollars on non-refundable tickets and “fast passes” and the whole trip felt ruined.
I pulled into Ricky Ratchets on Clarke Road in a panic, expecting to hear, “Sorry, we’re booked.” Instead, they had my car in within minutes.
Because my old Malibu is pretty rusty underneath, a proper weld wasn’t possible on the spot. I asked, “What can I do?” and instead of sending us away, he worked some mechanical magic and came up with a temporary fix that he hoped would get us there.
Not only did it get us the two hours to Wonderland—it got us all the way back home too!
The price was incredibly fair, but what I’ll remember most was the kindness. He could have easily said no, but instead he saved four teenage girls’ summer highlight and one very stressed mom’s sanity.
If I lived in London, this is absolutely where I’d bring my car for the permanent repair. Anyone needing some honest work from a great team, GO TO SE THEM!!! Thank you for going above and beyond!
