Gilbert Contracting & Renovations Ltd exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Ben met with us promptly after our initial inquiries for a bathroom renovation. He provided a quote very quickly and took the time to come visit us again to walk us through what his plans were. Once we signed the contract, his team quickly took action. We were provided with a full project workbook at a very reasonable cost, assisted with making selections on our finishes and then the magic happened. His team completed the task on time with very little disruption to our everyday life. We will certainly be using Gilbert Contracting & Renovations Ltd for any future projects.
Gilbert Roofing came out same day to conduct an assessment on our roof from some water damage on our ceiling. They were efficient, professional and walked me through everything, taking the time to answer all my questions. Would highly recommend them.

My husband and I hired Ben Gilbert for renovations in our loft - we had a bathroom make over. His crew was highly organized, clean and took great care and pride in their work. Great group of guys, will certainly hire them again!
Our renovations were completed in 2021, and the quality of work has proven to be unacceptable. Since the house renovation and shop construction, we have had to repair multiple issues that should never have occurred this soon, including problems with the flooring, insulation, siding, and molding. The materials used for the exterior shop were visibly weathered and did not appear to be new, raising serious concerns about the standards of construction.
Poor planning also resulted in unnecessary costs on our end. Both the electrician and plumber were left waiting for the excavation to be completed, leading to a half day of wages paid for no productive work. In addition, we were billed for items that were never completed as outlined in the contract.
When we brought these issues to the owner’s attention, instead of addressing the concerns, a lien was placed on our home. Only after further dispute was the final bill revised. This entire experience reflects a lack of professionalism, accountability, and quality control.
