Home Instead

We contacted Home Instead 5+ years ago for our mom who was began to struggle with household chores resulting from a diagnosis of Parkinson's. Mom was paired with Lori, who was amazing. In addition to helping with groceries and light cleaning, Lori became Mom's shopping buddy. We were so happy to see mom getting out of the house, doing something she loved with someone who became a friend. As mom's health declined, Lori and Home Instead were super flexible and adjusted with mom's new and additional needs, which included going to spend time with her in hospital and finally, at her nursing home. While this can be a tricky stage of life to navigate, Home Instead staff were supportive and understanding at every turn, for which I am thankful.

We hired Home Instead to take care of my 90 year older mother-in-law. She needed some assistance with cooking, bathing and basic wellness checks. They paired her with caregiver Lou Ann who has helped tremendously with her care. My mother-in-law greatly enjoys her company and always talks about the wonderful homecooked and healthy meals Lou Ann prepares. Home Instead has allowed her to stay in her apartment while giving us the peace of mind that she is regularly cared for. Lou Ann keeps a journal at her apartment about all visits and readily points out any areas of concerns. We couldn’t be happier with the service and would recommend to anyone looking for in home care.

My wife has LBD. The care we are receiving from HomeInstead has helped wonderfully. Paula, our assigned PSW, is kind and actively looks for ways to help. I know that others who are facing these challenges of caregiving for loved ones with dementia will welcome the careful help that HomeInstead can provide. My father turned 90 years of age this year and found that he needed some in home assistance. We reached out to the Home Instead team and could not be happier with that choice. Following an in home visit and needs assessment, my dad was matched with Care Pro Lorri. Lorri is awesome and provided meal preparation, bathing assistance and much needed fellowship. This team is exceptional in what they do. They are more tenured and experienced than any other private home and community care provider in the London area. If you are in need, don't waste your time in trying to work with anyone else. You loved ones are in good and capable hands with this team.
