I cannot sing the praises of The Villages at Glendale enough. Two years ago my very active, healthy Mum fell and fractured her hip and injured her shoulder. The care and rehab post hospital fell on my father who was 83 at the time. (I live 8 hours away.) They managed but it wasn’t ideal and they were very isolated from community. Unfortunately, as it can go, she had another fall. When I would come home, I observed that things were not ideal, I was concerned with their isolation and my father was experiencing caregiver burn out. I started to look at care from afar and was shocked to find out what actually was happening with LTC. The system my parents wanted to depend on was not accessible to them. The team at Glendale walked with us through all the emotions felt in a decision of needing to get Mum in a place to be well cared for when she was not the fan of doing this. I have shed tears in their offices and Monika who was our first point of contact has always had an available listening ear and a hug. Holly and the rest of the team are wonderful as well. It has been a year since our first tour, Mum moved in September of ‘25. I have had interactions with many workers and staff. I’ve seen them in difficult situations where residents are confused and anyone would want to react. You can tell that there is an absolute standard of care at the Villages and they are responsive to issues that arise. I am up visiting Mum and typing this as she is part of an exercise class in the Assisted Living. She had another fall October of 25’ and I didn’t know if she would walk again. My Mum is the strongest woman I know and with her perseverance and the assistance of many at the Villages, including the in resident PT Mya, who cared for my Mum and also helped educate the staff working with Mum on how to mobilize her, I am thrilled to say Mum is walking again. As I walk the halls with her, my heart is full to realize so many people know her name, know her preferences and go out of their way to accommodate. Most are probably reading this review in a place of crisis, some may be preparing for how to age well and don’t want their children to worry about them. if I ever lived locally again, The Villages at Glendale would be the place I would want to finish out the last leg of my earthly journey. Thank you Glendale for excelling in a difficult field and caring well for both the residents and their families.

About three years ago, my wife and I started looking at area retirement homes. We found Glendale Crossing to be the best of the lot, but we were not quite ready to sell our house and make the big move. So we continued to explore other places. We visited several. Most of them were clean, bright and spacious but for whatever reason, we were not hooked on living in them. We made more visits to Glendale and attended a couple of events there. We talked to Holly. We had lots of questions. Holly was amazing - very accommodating, empathetic and knowledgeable. Every time we visited Glendale Crossing we felt good about the place. We will definitely be moving there when the time comes. It will be like moving from our home to another home, as opposed to moving from our home to an institution.
As the owner of a business that supports seniors who are transitioning homes, we have moved many clients into Glendale Crossings. The whole village has a wonderful vibe to it - I see seniors out of their rooms engaging in activities and the going on's of village life. There is always a bustle of activity throughout the home and a very social place when in the village. The staff is always warm and inviting and very caring towards the residents and guests. It feels very bright, spacious and friendly - always clean and well maintained - I would certainly recommend!
This place is the best. My parents love it here and I see them thriving. It’s always bright and clean and the staff always say hello and smile.
Staff is very kind and friendly. Family is encouraged to participate in activities which is very special for me and my family.
As always, I had a good experience. The staff are great. I enjoy visiting with my siblings and I am always welcomed by the staff.
